Follow The Directions

01

Step

Chill a martini glass or coupe by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Fill a cocktail shaker 3/4 full with ice cubes.

03

Step

Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice, Cointreau (or triple sec), and brandy.

04

Step

Cover the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.

05

Step

Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass or coupe.

06

Step

Garnish with a fresh lemon wedge on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately and enjoy!

For an extra touch, consider sugaring the rim of the glass by running a lemon wedge around the rim and dipping it in sugar before pouring the cocktail.
Adjust the sweetness to your preference by slightly increasing or decreasing the amount of Cointreau.
Use high-quality brandy for the best flavor profile.
Freshly squeezed lemon juice is essential for a bright and balanced cocktail.

I found it a bit too sour for my taste, so I added a tiny splash of simple syrup. Perfect!
