Coat and Chill: Dip each secured chicken breast in the melted butter, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, dredge the buttered chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well. Place the coated chicken breasts in a 13x9 inch baking dish, making sure they are not overcrowded. Drizzle any remaining melted butter evenly over the chicken breasts. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This helps the chicken hold its shape and prevents the cheese from melting out too quickly. Alternatively, you can freeze them at this stage for future baking, just remember to increase the baking time. (1 hour +)

Feb 5, 2025I had trouble with the cheese leaking out. Next time, I'll make sure to really secure the chicken.
