Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, pineapple-orange juice blend, and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. (Approximately 2 minutes)

02

Step
25 mins

Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. (Approximately 20-25 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

With 5 minutes remaining in the freezing process, add the flaked sweetened coconut and walnut pieces to the ice cream maker. (Approximately 5 minutes)

04

Step
2 mins

With 2 minutes remaining, gently fold in the sliced banana. Allow the ice cream maker to finish its cycle. (Approximately 2 minutes)

05

Step

Once the ice cream is finished churning, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to allow it to firm up further before serving.

For an even richer flavor, toast the coconut flakes lightly before adding them to the ice cream.
Feel free to substitute other tropical fruits, such as mango or papaya, for the banana.
If you don't have an ice cream maker, you can still make this recipe using the no-churn method. Simply pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for several hours, stirring every 30 minutes to prevent ice crystals from forming.
