Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. (15 minutes)

03

Step

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink. Drain grease, and stir in the chili, cream of mushroom soup, evaporated milk, mushrooms and black olives. (15 minutes)

04

Step

Mix in 3/4 of the Cheddar cheese and the cooked shell pasta. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish, and sprinkle remaining cheese over the top. (5 minutes)

06

Step

Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until the top is browned and bubbly. (60 minutes)

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the ground beef while cooking.
Feel free to substitute other cheeses like Monterey Jack or Colby for a different flavor profile.
To prevent the top from browning too quickly, tent the dish with foil during the last 15 minutes of baking.
