Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (approximately 375°F or 190°C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and water until well combined. Reserve 1/3 cup of this mixture for basting later. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Place the chicken thighs and the remaining ketchup mixture into a gallon-sized resealable bag or a large bowl. Ensure the chicken is fully coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight, turning occasionally to ensure even marination. (1 hour minimum, up to overnight)

04

Step

Remove the chicken thighs from the marinade, discarding the used marinade. Create small drainage holes in a sheet of Reynolds Wrap® Non-Stick Aluminum Foil using a grilling fork. Place the foil on the grill grate with the non-stick (dull) side facing up. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Carefully arrange the chicken thighs on the prepared foil on the grill. Cook, flipping once halfway through, and basting with the reserved 1/3 cup of marinade during the last few minutes of cooking. Continue grilling until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). (20-24 minutes)

06

Step

Remove the chicken thighs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. (5 minutes)

For an enhanced smoky flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika to the marinade.
Ensure the chicken is cooked to a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to avoid any health risks.
If you don't have access to a grill, these chicken thighs can also be baked in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until cooked through.
Adjust the amount of brown sugar to control the sweetness of your BBQ sauce.
