Simmer and Cool: Bring the marinade to a simmer over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. (10 minutes)

Marinate the Wings: While the marinade cools, pierce the chicken wings several times with a fork. Place the wings in a large mixing bowl. Toss with the minced garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper. (5 minutes)

Combine and Refrigerate: Pour the cooled marinade over the chicken wings. Stir to ensure the wings are evenly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor. (2 hours minimum)

Preheat Grill: Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat. Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking. (5 minutes)

Grill the Wings: Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, shaking off any excess. Discard the remaining marinade. Place the wings on the preheated grill and cook for approximately 20 minutes, or until no longer pink at the bone and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Turn the wings frequently to ensure even cooking and prevent burning. (20 minutes)

Serve: Transfer the cooked wings to a serving platter. Squeeze the lime wedges over the wings and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy!

For extra crispy wings, pat them dry with paper towels before grilling.
Adjust the amount of hot pepper sauce to control the level of spiciness.
Marinating overnight is highly recommended for deeper flavor penetration.
If you don't have an outdoor grill, these wings can also be baked in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
