Follow The Directions

01

Step

Thread the shrimp onto the soaked wooden skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Place the skewered shrimp in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the RumChata over them. Ensure the shrimp are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, or up to 4 hours. (3 hours)

03

Step

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat (about 375-450°F) and lightly oil the grill grate. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Remove the shrimp skewers from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Sprinkle the Montreal Chicken seasoning evenly over the shrimp skewers. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Spray the seasoned shrimp with cooking spray or lightly brush with olive oil to prevent sticking. (1 minute)

06

Step

Place the shrimp skewers on the preheated grill. Grill for approximately 3-4 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque and are cooked through. (6 minutes)

07

Step

Remove the grilled shrimp skewers from the grill and serve immediately.

For best results, don't over-marinate the shrimp, as the liqueur can affect the texture.
If you don't have an outdoor grill, you can cook the shrimp skewers under a broiler or in a grill pan on the stovetop.
Serve these shrimp skewers with a squeeze of fresh lime juice and a side of grilled vegetables for a complete meal.

Next time I'll try adding a little lime juice to the marinade for some extra zest.
