Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously coat an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, softened butter, and egg. Using an electric mixer, beat the ingredients together until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Set aside 2 cups of the crumb mixture. Firmly press the remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to create a solid base. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the pressed crumb base, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle the reserved 2 cups of crumb mixture evenly over the jam layer. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the crumble topping is lightly golden brown and the filling is bubbling, approximately 40 to 50 minutes. (50 minutes)

06

Step

Remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting them into 25 squares. This allows the filling to set properly. (60 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a pinch of almond extract to the crumble mixture.
Use a high-quality raspberry jam for the best flavor. Seedless jam will provide a smoother texture.
If the crumble topping starts to brown too quickly, tent the pan with aluminum foil during the last 15 minutes of baking.
These bars are best enjoyed within 2-3 days. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature.
