Follow The Directions

01

Step

Lightly butter a 9-inch tube pan. Break the angel food cake into bite-sized chunks; set aside. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a mixing bowl, vigorously stir together the raspberry gelatin and boiling water until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Refrigerate the mixture to cool slightly. (15 minutes)

03

Step

Gently stir the thawed raspberries with their syrup into the cooled gelatin mixture until evenly distributed. (5 minutes)

04

Step

In a chilled glass or metal bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the raspberry mixture, ensuring not to deflate the cream. (10 minutes)

05

Step

Pour approximately 1/4 cup of the raspberry mixture into the prepared tube pan. Layer 1/3 of the cake chunks into the pan, then pour 1/3 of the remaining raspberry mixture over the cake. Repeat the layering process with the remaining cake and raspberry mixture, ending with the raspberry mixture as the top layer. (15 minutes)

06

Step

Cover the pan with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator until the dessert is firm. (at least 2 hours)

07

Step

To unmold, center a serving plate over the tube pan; invert the pan onto the plate. Gently shake if needed to release the dessert. (5 minutes)

For an extra touch, garnish with fresh raspberries and a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.
Ensure the gelatin mixture is only slightly cooled, not fully set, before adding the raspberries and whipped cream.
Chilling the bowl and beaters before whipping the cream will help it whip up faster and hold its shape better.
Feel free to experiment with different flavors of gelatin and fruits to create your own unique variations.
