Follow The Directions

01

Step

Chill a cocktail glass in the freezer for at least 15 minutes. (15 minutes)

02

Step

In a cocktail mixing glass, combine the gin and dry vermouth. (2 minutes)

03

Step

Add the ice to the mixing glass. (1 minute)

04

Step

Stir gently but thoroughly for 20-30 seconds, until the mixture is well-chilled. (1 minute)

05

Step

Strain the mixture into the chilled cocktail glass. (1 minute)

06

Step

Garnish with the pickled pearl onions. Spear them on a cocktail pick or simply drop them into the glass. (2 minutes)

For an extra chill, stir the cocktail in a mixing glass that has been pre-chilled.
Adjust the ratio of gin to vermouth to your preference. Some prefer a drier Gibson with less vermouth.
Experiment with different gins to find your favorite flavor profile. London Dry gins work particularly well.
Ensure your vermouth is fresh, as it can lose its flavor over time once opened.
If you don't have cocktail onions, you can substitute with a small shallot, thinly sliced and pickled.
