Prepare the Vanilla Milk: In a separate saucepan, combine milk, sugar, vanilla bean with seeds, and a pinch of salt. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until the sugar is dissolved and the milk is warm. (5 to 7 minutes)

Combine and Heat: Remove the vanilla bean from the milk mixture. Add the cooked farro to the milk mixture. Cook and stir until heated through. (about 5 minutes)

For a richer flavor, try using whole milk or adding a tablespoon of cream to the milk mixture.
Feel free to experiment with different sweeteners, such as maple syrup or honey, in place of white sugar.
Toasted nuts or fresh fruit make excellent toppings for this cereal.
