For a richer flavor, try using bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts. Be sure to remove the skin after cooking. Add a can of drained mixed vegetables during the last 30 minutes of cooking for a more complete meal. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 15 minutes of cooking. This dish is excellent served over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
