Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.

02

Step

Add ground beef and chorizo to the skillet. Break the meat apart with a spoon and cook until browned, about 10-15 minutes. Drain off any excess grease.

03

Step

Transfer the cooked meat mixture to a slow cooker. Stir in diced tomatoes (with their juices), prepared chili, butter beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, and seasoning blend. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

04

Step

Cover the slow cooker and cook on High for 3-4 hours, or on Low for 6-8 hours, until the flavors have melded together.

For a spicier chili, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a chopped jalapeño pepper to the skillet along with the onions and garlic.
If you don't have butter beans on hand, kidney beans or pinto beans make a great substitute.
This chili is even better the next day! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
