Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly spray a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Carefully cut the green chiles lengthwise into strips. Arrange the chile strips over the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate to form a complete crust, positioning the pointed ends towards the center. Overlap the strips as needed to create a solid layer. (10 minutes)

03

Step

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, chopped onions, heavy cream, garlic salt, cumin, and black pepper until well combined. Gently fold in the cubed Cheddar cheese. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Layer the tomato slices evenly over the chile 'crust'. Pour the egg mixture over the tomatoes, ensuring it distributes evenly throughout the pie plate. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the quiche is set and the top is lightly golden brown, approximately 30 to 35 minutes. A knife inserted near the center should come out clean. (35 minutes)

06

Step

Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the filling to set further. (10 minutes)

For a spicier kick, use hot green chiles or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the egg mixture.
If using fresh roasted green chiles, be sure to peel them before using.
This quiche can be made a day ahead and reheated gently before serving. Perfect for easy entertaining!
