For a smoother sauce, use an immersion blender to blend the sauce after simmering. If you don't have celery salt, a pinch of celery seed can be substituted. Feel free to adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the heat level. This sauce freezes beautifully! Allow it to cool completely before transferring to freezer-safe containers.
