For a deeper smoky flavor, add a teaspoon of smoked paprika to the glaze. If you prefer a milder spice level, reduce the amount of crushed red pepper flakes. This glaze is also delicious on grilled pork chops or chicken. To prevent the ham from drying out during baking, cover it loosely with foil for the majority of the cooking time, removing it during the last 30 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
