For a thicker chili, mash some of the Great Northern beans with a fork before adding them to the pot. Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your preferred level of spiciness. Start with less and add more to taste. Feel free to add other vegetables, such as corn or bell peppers, for added flavor and texture. For an even richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth.
