Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a small bowl, combine 1 clove of crushed garlic and 1 teaspoon of crushed peppercorns. Press this mixture onto both sides of the steaks to create a flavorful crust.

02

Step

Prepare a large nonstick skillet with olive oil cooking spray and place over medium heat. Arrange the steaks in a single layer in the skillet.

03

Step

Cook the steaks for about 5 minutes per side, or until they are beginning to firm and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center registers 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium-rare. Remove the steaks to a serving platter and keep warm.

04

Step

In a clean skillet sprayed with olive oil cooking spray, cook the green, red, and yellow bell pepper strips, chopped onion, and 1 clove of minced garlic over medium heat for approximately 5 minutes, until the onion is translucent. Transfer the vegetables to a bowl.

05

Step

In the same skillet, mix the beef bouillon granules, red curry powder, 1/2 teaspoon of crushed peppercorns, evaporated milk, and water. Cook and stir over medium heat until the bouillon granules have dissolved completely.

06

Step

Continue to cook the sauce, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes, or until it has reduced to 1/2 cup. Stir in the cooked bell pepper mixture and heat through.

07

Step

Spoon the luscious curry sauce generously over the steaks to serve. Enjoy the symphony of flavors!

For an extra layer of flavor, marinate the steaks in a mixture of olive oil, garlic, and peppercorns for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
Adjust the amount of red curry powder to suit your preferred level of spiciness.
Serve the Steak au Poivre with a side of creamy mashed potatoes or fragrant rice to complement the rich curry sauce.
