Follow The Directions

01

Step

Gather all ingredients. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, gently combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped chipped beef, parsley, minced onion, seasoned salt, and fresh dill. Mix until the dip is thoroughly combined. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Cover the bowl tightly and chill in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld and deepen. (24 hours)

04

Step

Carefully cut off the top of the rye bread loaf. Hollow out the inside of the bread, reserving the removed bread. Break the removed bread into bite-sized pieces for dipping. (20 minutes)

05

Step

Just before serving, fill the rye bread 'boat' with the chilled dip. Arrange the bread pieces around the boat on a serving tray. (10 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, lightly toast the rye bread pieces before serving. This will add a delightful crunch and enhance their nutty flavor.
If you're short on time, you can chill the dip for a minimum of 4 hours, but the longer it sits, the better the flavors will develop.
Consider adding a sprinkle of paprika or a few dashes of hot sauce to the dip for a touch of heat.

I couldn't find Spice Islands seasoning, so I used a blend of celery salt, onion powder, and paprika. It worked great!
