For a richer flavor, sauté the sliced green onions in the butter for a minute or two before adding the other ingredients. Try using fresh mushrooms for an even more intense mushroom flavor. Slice and sauté them before adding the rice and broth. This rice is excellent served with grilled chicken, roasted vegetables, or as a base for a stir-fry.
