Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large bowl, gently combine the ground chicken, minced bell pepper, drained crushed pineapple, crushed garlic, 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce, sliced green onion, pink salt, and ground ginger. Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the chicken. Form the mixture into 6 equally sized balls. (10 minutes)

02

Step

Heat a large cast iron or ceramic nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add avocado oil to the hot skillet and heat for 3 minutes until shimmering. Gently place 2 to 3 chicken balls into the skillet and flatten with a spatula to form patties. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, approximately 5 minutes per side. Ensure an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Remove the cooked burgers from the skillet and set aside. Repeat with the remaining chicken balls. (30 minutes)

03

Step

Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun. Top with crisp lettuce leaves, juicy tomato slices, mayonnaise, and ketchup to taste. For an extra burst of flavor, drizzle with additional teriyaki sauce if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Pineapple-Teriyaki Chicken Burgers! (5 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, try grilling the pineapple slices and adding them to the burger.
To prevent the chicken burgers from sticking, ensure the skillet is properly heated before adding the patties.
These burgers can be prepared ahead of time. Store the cooked patties in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
Experiment with different toppings such as avocado, red onion, or a spicy sriracha mayo.
