Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2 1/2-quart baking dish with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, combine the pork and beans, kidney beans, lima beans, chopped onion, brown sugar, ketchup, and dry mustard. Mix thoroughly until well combined. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly over the top. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking until the casserole is bubbling and heated through, approximately 30 minutes more. (60 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a tablespoon of molasses to the bean mixture.
If you prefer a sweeter casserole, increase the amount of brown sugar to your liking.
To prevent the bacon from burning, add it during the last 15 minutes of baking time.
This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
