Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large soup pot or Dutch oven, combine the potatoes, carrots, onion, celery, garlic, parsley, basil, bouillon powder, salt, and pepper.

02

Step

Add enough water to cover the vegetables (approximately 6-8 cups).

03

Step

Cover the pot and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and simmer until the vegetables begin to soften, about 15-20 minutes.

04

Step

Crumble the ground beef into the pot, adding it in small portions and stirring to break it up. Ensure the beef is evenly distributed.

05

Step

Return the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer gently until the vegetables are fully cooked and the ground beef is no longer pink, about 15-20 minutes.

For a richer flavor, brown the ground beef in a separate pan before adding it to the soup.
Add a bay leaf or a splash of Worcestershire sauce to enhance the depth of flavor.
Adjust the amount of water to achieve your desired soup consistency.
This soup is even better the next day, as the flavors meld together.
Garnish with fresh parsley or a dollop of sour cream before serving.
