For an extra layer of flavor, try adding 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter. The riper the bananas, the more flavorful and moist your bread will be. Bananas with lots of brown spots are ideal! To prevent the top from browning too quickly, tent the loaf pan with aluminum foil during the last 15-20 minutes of baking. Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
