Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Press each portion of dough evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a nonstick 6-cup mini tart pan. (10 minutes)

Bake in the preheated oven until the filling is set and the crust is lightly golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack until the mini tarts reach room temperature. (60 minutes)

For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a pinch of cardamom to the shortbread crust.
If you don't have a food processor, you can cut the butter into the flour mixture using a pastry blender or your fingertips.
Make sure your butter is properly softened for the best shortbread texture.
Garnish with fresh berries or a dusting of powdered sugar for an elegant touch.
