For a richer flavor, use bone-in lamb shoulder or shank. Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to suit your spice preference. Dried apricots or raisins can be added during the last 30 minutes of cooking for a touch of sweetness. If you don't have a tagine, a heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven works perfectly well. The tagine can be made a day ahead; the flavors will only improve.

Mar 15, 2024The recipe was easy to follow, and the results were amazing. I didn't have sun-dried tomato paste, so I used a tablespoon of tomato paste and a pinch of sugar, and it worked great.

Mar 7, 2024I found the sauce to be a bit too thin, even after adding the cornstarch slurry. Next time, I'll reduce the amount of chicken broth slightly.

Dec 31, 2023I made this in my slow cooker, and it turned out wonderfully. I browned the lamb first and then added everything to the slow cooker for 6 hours on low.
