Follow The Directions

01

Step

Engage the Sauté function on your multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot). If needed, adjust to the 'Low' setting. Introduce the sesame oil and olive oil to the pot. Once heated, add the finely chopped ginger and garlic. Sauté until their fragrance fills the air, ensuring they don't brown, approximately 1 minute.

02

Step

Pour in the chicken broth, then gently add the frozen wontons, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Carefully separate any wontons that may be stuck together. Secure the lid, ensuring it's properly locked.

03

Step

Select the 'Soup' function and set the timer for 2 minutes. Allow the pressure to build, which should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

04

Step

Once the timer is up, carefully release the pressure using the quick-release method, following the manufacturer's instructions for your Instant Pot, around 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.

05

Step

Stir in the thinly sliced bok choy and low-sodium soy sauce. Allow the soup to sit, stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes to let the flavors meld.

06

Step

Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, if needed. Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish generously with thinly sliced green onions. Serve immediately and enjoy!

For a richer flavor, consider using homemade chicken broth or adding a touch of fish sauce.
Feel free to experiment with different types of frozen dumplings, such as pork, shrimp, or vegetable.
If you don't have bok choy, napa cabbage or spinach make excellent substitutes.
A drizzle of chili oil can add a pleasant kick to the soup.
