Preheat grill to medium-high heat. (5 minutes)

Brush corn with 1 tablespoon olive oil and individually wrap with aluminum foil. Place on the grill, turning frequently, until kernels are tender and slightly charred. (20 minutes)

Allow corn to cool slightly before handling. Cut kernels off the cob and combine with black beans, jalapeño, cilantro, and the juice of 1 lime in a medium bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside. (10 minutes)

Halve avocados and remove the pits, leaving the skin on. Squeeze the juice of the remaining lime over the avocado flesh and lightly brush with olive oil. (5 minutes)

Grill avocado halves flesh side down until slightly softened and grill marks appear. (2-3 minutes)

Remove avocados from the grill. Quarter each half and carefully peel off the skin. (3 minutes)

Wrap tortillas in foil and place on the edge of the grill to warm through, flipping once. (5 minutes)

To assemble tacos: place avocado slices on warm tortillas and top with the corn and black bean salsa. (5 minutes)

Serve immediately with your favorite hot sauce and additional lime wedges. (2 minutes)

For a smokier flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika to the salsa.
If you don't have a grill, the corn and avocados can be cooked in a cast iron skillet on the stovetop.
Try adding crumbled cotija cheese or a dollop of sour cream for extra richness.
