Follow The Directions

Step

Place the beef short ribs into the base of your slow cooker.

Pour the condensed French onion soup over the ribs, ensuring they are at least partially coated. Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. (5 minutes)

Drizzle the chili sauce over the exposed portions of the short ribs. Sprinkle the chopped fresh rosemary evenly over the top. (2 minutes)

Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low heat for 8 to 10 hours, or until the short ribs are incredibly tender and easily pull apart. (8-10 hours)

Serve the short ribs directly from the slow cooker, spooning the rich sauce over the meat. Garnish with additional fresh rosemary, if desired.

For an even richer flavor, sear the short ribs in a hot skillet before adding them to the slow cooker. This will create a beautiful crust and enhance the depth of flavor.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with two tablespoons of cold water. Stir this slurry into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
These short ribs are excellent served over mashed potatoes, creamy polenta, or egg noodles to soak up all that delicious sauce.
