Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Generously butter a 9x12-inch baking dish. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Arrange the bread cubes in a single layer in the prepared baking dish. Scatter the diced apples evenly over the bread. (5 minutes)

03

Step

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggnog and eggs until well combined. Pour the eggnog mixture evenly over the bread and apples. Gently press down on the bread to ensure it is soaked. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set, about 10-15 minutes more. A knife inserted into the center should come out mostly clean. (45 minutes)

06

Step

Let the bread pudding cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm or at room temperature. (10 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of nutmeg to the eggnog mixture.
If using homemade eggnog, adjust the sweetness to your preference.
Leftover bread pudding can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave before serving.
To prevent the top from browning too quickly, you can loosely tent the bread pudding with foil during the last few minutes of baking.
