Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

Place the frozen banana slices and 1/4 cup of skim milk into a high-speed blender. (Prep time: 2 minutes)

02

Step
30 mins

Blend for 30 seconds, or until the mixture starts to break down and becomes slightly chunky. (Blend time: 30 seconds)

03

Step
1 hrs

Add the remaining 1/4 cup of skim milk and continue to blend on high speed until the mixture transforms into a smooth, creamy, ice cream-like consistency. This may take another 30-60 seconds. (Blend time: 30-60 seconds)

04

Step
30 mins

Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 30 minutes for a firmer consistency. (Freeze time: 30 minutes)

For a richer flavor, use full-fat coconut milk instead of skim milk.
Add a tablespoon of peanut butter or cocoa powder for a delicious variation.
If your blender struggles, add a splash more milk, but be careful not to add too much or the ice cream will be too liquidy.

Response: Make sure your bananas are very ripe before freezing, as this will help with the creamy texture. You can also try adding a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup for added sweetness and to help prevent ice crystals from forming.
