For a richer flavor, use bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs. Brown them well before removing them from the pan, then shred the meat and add it back to the sauce at the end. Add a splash of dry sherry or white wine to the sauce for an extra layer of depth. If you don't have sour cream, you can substitute plain Greek yogurt, but be sure to add it slowly and gently to prevent curdling. Serve with a side of steamed green beans or a crisp green salad for a complete meal.

Apr 27, 2025The sauce was a little thin for my liking, so I added a cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water) at the end to thicken it up. Worked like a charm!
