Follow The Directions

01

Step

Pulse cranberries in a food processor until coarsely chopped. Alternatively, finely chop by hand. Transfer to a mixing bowl. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In the bowl with the cranberries, combine sugar, green onion, cilantro, lemon juice, jalapeño, cumin, and salt. Stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the cranberries to mellow. (4+ hours)

04

Step

Arrange the softened cream cheese on a serving platter. Spoon the cranberry mixture generously over the cream cheese. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Serve immediately with your favorite crackers, toasted baguette slices, or crudités.

For a smoother dip, blend half of the cranberry mixture in a food processor after the refrigeration period and then mix it back into the rest of the mixture.
Adjust the amount of jalapeño to your preference for heat. Remove the seeds and membranes for a milder flavor.
This dip can be made up to 2 days in advance. Store the cranberry mixture separately from the cream cheese until ready to serve.
Consider adding a sprinkle of toasted pecans or walnuts for added texture and flavor.
