Follow The Directions

01

Step

Crisp the Bacon (10-12 minutes): In a large, deep skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until perfectly crisp and evenly browned. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Once cooled, crumble and set aside, reserving 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.

02

Step

Prepare the Broccoli (7-8 minutes): Add the chopped broccoli and water to the skillet with the reserved bacon grease. Cover and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, then uncover and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp. Remove from heat and drain any excess water.

03

Step

Create the Cheese Sauce (5-7 minutes): In a medium saucepan, combine the shredded Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, white pepper, sour cream, and Dijon mustard. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth and well combined. Be careful not to overheat.

04

Step

Combine and Serve (2 minutes): Stir in the crumbled bacon and cooked broccoli into the cheese sauce, ensuring everything is evenly distributed. Transfer the dip to a serving dish. Serve warm with your favorite dippers.

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or a dash of hot sauce to the cheese sauce.
This dip is best served warm. If making ahead, store in the refrigerator and reheat gently in the microwave or oven before serving.
Serve with an assortment of dippers such as crusty bread, tortilla chips, pretzels, or raw vegetables.
