For a richer pudding, substitute half-and-half or heavy cream for some of the milk. If you prefer a smoother pudding, use a blender or immersion blender to blend the banana slices into the pudding after cooking. To prevent the bananas from browning, toss them with a little lemon juice before adding them to the pudding. Feel free to use more or less bananas according to your preference. For an extra touch of elegance, top the pudding with whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed vanilla wafers just before serving.
