For an even richer flavor, use beef broth instead of water. Feel free to add other vegetables such as carrots or bell peppers to the goulash. A dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh parsley makes a delicious garnish. The goulash tastes even better the next day, after the flavors have had a chance to meld together.
