This goulash can also be made in a slow cooker. Brown the beef and onion as directed, then transfer to a slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours. Stir in the macaroni during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Serve with a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese for added flavor.
