Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

In a medium bowl, whisk together the peanut oil, soy sauce, and black pepper. (2 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Place the sliced steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for maximum flavor. (5 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and stir-fry until browned on all sides, about 3-5 minutes. (5 minutes)

04

Step
5 mins

Add the chopped bell pepper, onion, green onion, ginger, and serrano pepper to the skillet. Continue to stir-fry until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 3-5 minutes more. (5 minutes)

05

Step
5 mins

Divide the baby spinach among plates or a large serving bowl. Top with the steak stir-fry and drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette. Garnish with additional chopped green onion, if desired. Serve immediately. (5 minutes)

For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
Adjust the amount of serrano pepper to your desired spice level. You can also substitute with red pepper flakes.
Marinating the steak for a longer period will result in a more flavorful and tender dish.
If you don't have skirt steak, flank steak or sirloin steak can be used as substitutes. Be sure to slice thinly against the grain.
Feel free to add other vegetables to the stir-fry, such as mushrooms, carrots, or broccoli.
