Follow The Directions

01

Step

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Add the angel hair pasta and cook until al dente, about 1-3 minutes, or according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining. (3 minutes)

03

Step

While the pasta is cooking, in a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, melted butter, marjoram, and garlic powder. Season generously with salt and pepper. (2 minutes)

04

Step

Add the cooked pasta and diced chicken to the bowl with the lemon sauce. Toss well to combine, adding a little of the reserved pasta water if needed to create a light, emulsified sauce. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Stir in the chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. (1 minute)

For a richer flavor, use chicken thighs instead of chicken breast.
Adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce will give it a slight kick.
Fresh herbs, such as basil or oregano, can be substituted for the parsley.
Be careful not to overcook the pasta, as it can become mushy very quickly.
Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more lemon juice for extra tang or salt and pepper to taste.
