For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar. Add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans for added texture and flavor. To prevent the top from browning too quickly, tent the loaf pan with aluminum foil during the last 15 minutes of baking. Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
