For a milder sauce, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper. For extra heat, add a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce. This sauce is best when allowed to sit for at least a few hours, or even overnight, before using. Use this sauce to baste ribs, chicken, or pork shoulder while grilling, or serve it on the side as a dipping sauce. Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Mar 28, 2025I added a little bit of brown sugar to mine and it gave it a really nice depth of flavor. I also used it as a marinade for chicken before grilling and the chicken was so tender and flavorful!

Nov 12, 2024This sauce is amazing! It's got the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy. I used it on pulled pork and it was a huge hit!

Oct 26, 2024I was a little hesitant to try this recipe because I'm not a huge fan of vinegar, but I'm so glad I did! The vinegar flavor is definitely there, but it's balanced out by the other ingredients. I will make this again!
