For a sweeter Mojito, increase the sugar to 2 1/2 tablespoons. Experiment with different types of rum to find your favorite flavor profile. Aged rums will add a richer, more complex flavor. If you don't have crushed ice, you can use regular ice cubes, but the drink will be more diluted. To make a non-alcoholic Mojito (a 'Nojito'), simply omit the rum and add a splash of lime juice or sparkling water to compensate for the lost liquid.
