For an even richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese in addition to, or instead of, the mozzarella. If you don't have white wine on hand, chicken broth or vegetable broth can be used as a substitute. To make this casserole ahead of time, prepare it up to the baking step, cover, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Add an extra 5-10 minutes to the baking time if baking directly from the refrigerator.
