For an even deeper flavor, try browning the diced onion in a skillet with a little olive oil before adding it to the slow cooker. Adjust the amount of chili seasoning to your preference. For a milder chili, use only one package or half of each package. Feel free to add other vegetables to the chili, such as diced bell peppers, corn, or zucchini. This chili can also be made on the stovetop. Simply combine all ingredients in a large pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for at least 30 minutes, or until the flavors have melded.
