For a milder salsa, remove the seeds and membranes from the serrano chilis before chopping. For a spicier kick, leave some or all of the seeds in. If you prefer a smoother salsa, blend for a longer period, but be careful not to turn it into a puree. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. A squeeze of lime juice can also brighten the flavors. This salsa is best served chilled and is delicious with tortilla chips, grilled meats, or as a topping for tacos and nachos.
