Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly coat a casserole dish with cooking spray. (Prep time: 5 minutes)

02

Step

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion, stirring occasionally, until beef is browned and onion is translucent. Drain any excess grease. (Cook time: 10-15 minutes)

03

Step

In a large bowl, combine pork and beans, kidney beans, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, and salt. Add the cooked ground beef and onion mixture, stirring well to combine. Transfer to the prepared casserole dish. (Prep time: 5 minutes)

04

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the beans are bubbling and the flavors have melded together. (Bake time: 45 minutes)

For a richer flavor, consider adding a dash of Worcestershire sauce or a pinch of smoked paprika.
These baked beans can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
To freeze, let the baked beans cool completely, then transfer to a freezer-safe container. They can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
