Follow The Directions

01

Step

Pour 1 bottle of root beer into an ice cube tray. (3-4 hours)

02

Step

Carefully transfer the tray to the freezer and let it freeze completely.

03

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together the chilled heavy cream and vanilla extract until the mixture thickens slightly. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Cover the bowl and refrigerate until ready to use.

05

Step

Once the root beer ice cubes are frozen, transfer them to a blender.

06

Step

Add the chilled 1 1/2 cups of root beer to the blender.

07

Step

Blend until a smooth, thick slush forms, stopping and shaking the blender as needed to ensure even blending. (2-3 minutes)

08

Step

Pour the root beer slush into two pre-chilled mugs, leaving about an inch of space at the top.

09

Step

Spoon the vanilla cream over the top of each slushy.

10

Step

Serve immediately and enjoy!

For an extra frosty treat, chill your serving mugs in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before pouring in the slushy.
Experiment with different brands of root beer to find your favorite flavor profile.
To prevent excessive brain freeze, sip slowly and savor each bite!
For a dairy-free option, substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream.
