Follow The Directions

01

Step

Hydrate the Bulgur: In a microwave-safe bowl, submerge the bulgur in water. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until the bulgur has absorbed all the water. Stir and allow to cool. (Time: 5 minutes)

02

Step

Prepare the Aromatic Base: In a food processor, finely chop the mint leaves. Gradually add the chopped onion and process until the mixture is finely minced. Combine this aromatic mixture with the cooled bulgur. Stir in the cumin, allspice, salt, and pepper. (Time: 10 minutes)

03

Step

Combine and Shape: Thoroughly mix the bulgur mixture with the ground lamb until well combined. With damp hands, shape the mixture into small, palm-sized patties. (Time: 15 minutes)

04

Step

Cook the Kibbeh: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the kibbeh patties until golden brown and cooked through, turning once, about 6 minutes on each side. (Time: 12 minutes)

For a richer flavor, consider using a blend of lamb and beef.
Serve Kibbeh with a generous dollop of tahini and a side of fresh vegetables.
Kibbeh can also be baked at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Adjust the amount of spices according to your personal preference. A pinch of cayenne pepper can add a subtle kick.
