Combine and Finish: Pour the heavy cream over the cooked potatoes. Using a potato masher or a large fork, mash the potatoes until mostly smooth. Add the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, soy sauce, chicken bouillon granules, and dried parsley. Mix well to combine. Stir in the caramelized onions, reserving a small amount for garnish, if desired. Season generously with freshly ground black pepper to taste. For the ultimate creamy texture, use an electric mixer on low speed to whip the mashed potatoes until light and fluffy. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in gummy potatoes.

Nov 18, 2024My family devoured these. The only change I made was using fresh thyme instead of parsley.

Nov 8, 2024The caramelizing onions takes some time, but it's totally worth it. Just keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
