Prepare the Peach Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, sugar, and peach slices. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium and gently simmer, crushing the peach slices with a spoon as you stir, until the sugar is completely dissolved (about 5 minutes).

Infuse the Syrup: Remove the saucepan from the heat, cover, and let the peaches infuse the syrup for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Strain the Syrup: Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the peach slices, reserving the infused syrup.

Brew the Tea: In a separate medium saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Cover and steep for 5 minutes.

Combine and Cool: Remove the tea bags from the pot. Pour in the prepared peach syrup. Stir well to combine. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until thoroughly chilled and ready to serve.

For a richer peach flavor, use ripe, fragrant peaches.
Adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
